The president of South Dakota Corn Growers’ says the bipartisan infrastructure bill passed by Congress will definitely help farmers.
Scott Stahl says reliable infrastructure helps not only grain movement but basis levels and the transport of inputs, “Investment in infrastructure is a positive thing especially if it’s used in strengthening some of these roads and bridges that need to be improved.”
He tells Brownfield South Dakota growers are just as dependent as many other states on railways and the lock and dam systems on the Missouri, Illinois and Mississippi Rivers.
