A storm system arriving Monday across the Pacific Northwest will cross southern Canada through mid-week before turning northeastward. The storm will be responsible for a significant wind event across parts of the Plains and Northwest, with early-week gusts above 70 mph possible across northern sections of the Rockies and Plains. Across the central and eastern U.S., warmth in advance of the storm system will result in a brief temperature spike, followed by the return of more typical weather for this time of year.
