Less than 10 percent of Iowa’s corn crop is left to be harvested.
The latest weekly crop report from USDA says as of Sunday, corn harvest is 91 percent complete. That’s four days faster than the five-year average.
Soybeans are 97 percent harvested.
Other activities during the past week included tillage, baling corn stalks, and applying fertilizer.
