The U.S. House passed the social and climate bill known as Build Back Better today. Ryan Yates, manager of public policy with American Farm Bureau tells Brownfield Ag News they oppose the bill. While it includes some investments in farm programs such as conservation, he says it is the wrong approach to accomplish the bill.

“The legislation as a whole, and the process in which we got her – when we’re talking about changes in farm policy and investments in farm policy, that’s typically done within the construct of a Farm Bill, both House and Senate Ag committees work within a bipartisan fashion.”

Farm Bureau President Zippy Duvall says there is not enough in the bill to benefit rural America.
