Early next week, a new storm system will take shape over the Great Lakes region before drifting across eastern Canada. That storm will result in another round of cool, windy weather across the eastern half of the U.S., along with additional snow showers downwind of the Great Lakes. In contrast, mild weather will cover much of the West. During the next 5 days, little or no precipitation will fall from central and southern California to the Plains.
