Across the Corn Belt, late-season corn and soybean harvesting continues to wind down amid a cool, dry, breezy regime. Monday morning’s low temperatures dipped to 10°F or below in portions of the upper Great Lakes region.
On the Plains, dry weather is promoting fieldwork, including final winter wheat planting efforts and summer crop harvesting. On November 14, the U.S. sorghum harvest was 89% complete, while 94% of the nation’s intended winter wheat acreage had been planted.
