Minnesota Farm Bureau has a new president for the first time in 16 years.
Dan Glessing of Waverly, who served as vice president under the retiring Kevin Paap, was elected during the 103rd annual meeting over the weekend.
Glessing calls it an honor.
“Certainly when you set out as a young farmer or rancher, you look at that president and think wow. And I just really can’t believe that I’m there.”
Glessing has dairy cattle and grows alfalfa, corn and soybeans.
