By Thanksgiving Day, mild weather will cover much of the country, except for another surge of chilly air into the Midwest. Thanksgiving Day precipitation should be limited to scattered showers in parts of the South, East, and lower Midwest, along with some heavier rain and snow in the Pacific Northwest. Five-day precipitation should total an inch or less, except for higher amounts in the western Gulf Coast region and the Pacific Northwest.
