The Federal Trade Commission is seeking information from nine large U.S. retailers in their role with supply chain disruptions.

The FTC is ordering Tyson Foods Inc., Kraft Heinz Co., Walmart and other companies to share information on how market conditions and business practices may have worsened supply chain disruptions.

FTC Chair Lina Khan says supply chain disruptions are “upending” delivery of many products including meat, lumber and computer chips.

The study will also examine whether supply chain disruptions are leading to bottlenecks, shortages, anticompetitive practices, and rising consumer prices.
