The director of the Minnesota State Cattlemens Association sees a lot of division over the Cattle Price Discovery and Transparency Act.

Allison VanDerWal tells Brownfield the compromise bill introduced in the Senate by Iowa Republican Chuck Grassley and Nebraska Republican Deb Fischer is generating some strong responses among beef producers.

“People that say they love it and (there’s) people who say they hate it.”

She says the association loves the reporting aspect of the legislation.
