Wisconsin’s Alice in Dairyland says when thinking about a Christmas tree purchase, think real.
Julia Nunes tells Brownfield Christmas trees help stabilize soil, protect water, and provide habitat for wildlife when growing. “It’s a huge industry, and a lot of people when they think about Christmas, I hope they think of real Wisconsin Christmas trees because not only are they bringing a real, natural product into their home that can eventually be biodegraded or turned into woodchips, but it’s a really great way to support local farmers throughout the state.”
And, the trees don’t have to end up in a landfill after the holidays.
