Norma Boyle, 94, of Conrad, IA passed away Monday, December 6, 2021 at Bickford of Marshalltown in Marshalltown, IA. It was Norma’s wish to have a private family graveside service at the Conrad Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Iowa River Hospice in Marshalltown. Norma L. Boyle was born November 17, 1927, to Charles F. and Dora A. (Klatt) Waltemeyer. She was raised on a farm near Melbourne, IA, attending school there and graduating in 1945. She then started working at Security Savings Bank as a proof machine operator. In 1950 Norma was united in marriage to Duane R. Boyle of Conrad, IA, where they made their home. This marriage was blessed with three children, Barbara, Gary, and Deborah. She spent the majority of her life as a mother and homemaker. In 1977, she began working in food service at BCLUW schools, where she worked until 1986. Norma loved to cook and bake. One of her favorite hobbies was baking and decorating sugar cookies for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved to watch college basketball.

Norma will be missed by her children, Gary (Jean) Boyle of Conrad and Deborah (Kevin) Stubbs of Johnston, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, her daughter Barbara, brothers Robert, Herbert, Charles, four half-sisters and three half-brothers.
