Direct cash cattle trade activity is starting to pick up. There are a few scattered bids on the table at $220 dressed in Eastern Nebraska. The rest of cattle country remains quiet. Asking prices are at $144 to $145 live in the South and at $224 to $225 dressed in the North. There could be some business take place this afternoon, but it’s likely the bulk of the week’s trade will take place Thursday or Friday.
