At the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, live and feeder cattle ended the day higher, supported by higher boxed beef prices during the session. February live cattle closed $.27 higher at $138.07 and April live cattle closed $.65 higher at $141.87. January feeder cattle closed $.80 higher at $164.87 and March feeder cattle closed $.22 higher at $165.30.
It was a quiet end to the week for direct cash cattle trade activity following the light to moderate business that took place on Thursday.
