A federal jury in Denver failed to reach a verdict in a years-long chicken price-fixing case that the judge then declared a mistrial late last week.

Ten current and former chicken company executives – from Tyson Foods, Pilgrim’s Pride and Perdue Farms – were charged by the U.S. Justice Department with fixing prices and rigging bids in the U.S. poultry market.

The criminal trial began seven weeks ago.

According to Food Processing dot com, a new trial has been set for October 31st, 2022.
