The Indiana State Board of Animal Health is changing entry requirements for most cattle and swine.

Beginning January 1, 2022, if a digital certificate of veterinary inspection (CVI) is sent to BOAH (bo-uh) prior to entry, the pre-entry permit requirement is waived.  The change is possible because more than 90% of cattle and swine are typically moved under digital CVIs submitted by licensed and accredited veterinarians.  Waving the pre-entry permit helps save producers and veterinary clinics time and extra steps.
