An ag leadership expert says producers are missing the bigger picture when sharing their stories.
Matt Rush, a fourth-generation farmer from New Mexico known as “The GOODER Guy,” says people usually want to know why agriculture is good for them. “I can sum it up in three words: get over yourself. If I can get a producer to get over themselves and understand it’s not about them, that takes a lot of nerves out of it one, but getting over yourself saying “hey how do we make it applicable to somebody else,” Rush says.
