An agronomist says farmers who apply a pre-emergent herbicide could see advantages during the 2022 growing season.
Mark Pieper is with Indiana-based Beck’s seed company and says it could help reduce product shortages. “The supply chain may or may not have post available. People will be grabbing them because a lot of them are used and if you can get away with spraying once versus a couple post-pass that will only help the supply chain.”
And, he tells Brownfield it may reduce weed pressure after emergence and eliminate post-herbicide application.
