A sprawling storm system over the northern Pacific Ocean will deliver widespread, early-week precipitation across the Northwest. As the week progresses, the initial Northwestern storm will traverse the nation’s northern tier, delivering some snow and strong winds, while a new Pacific system will arrive in the Northwest. Two-storm precipitation totals could reach 5 to 10 inches or more in the Cascades and along the northern Pacific Coast, extending into northwestern California.
