Iowa U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley welcomed new loan and grant programs for small processors announced in President Biden’s action plan to increase competition in meat and poultry markets.
“These are very important parts of increasing competition.”
On his weekly call with ag reporters Tuesday, he highlighted other aspects of the plan as well.
“The administration announced $100 million for a new workforce training program for people who wish to work in the industry.
