A Missouri based red wolf breeding program raised concerns for cattle producers at the recent Missouri Cattlemen’s Annual Meeting.
The Missouri Department of Conservation’s Greg Collier says the concerns came from the Saint Louis Zoo’s wolf breeding program adding 177 acres of privately donated land in the state.
“I did some checking and the zoo, basically, uses their protocol; three fence system – [with] several feet underground – they have three different fences around the structure, the boundary of it,” Collier said.
