President Biden’s climate advisor says seven federal agencies are racing to build on the administration’s unprecedented year of work moving clean energy forward, much of which is being done in rural areas.
Gina McCarthy tells Brownfield the agencies are taking actions offshore, advancing wind and solar projects on public lands and building out transmission lines…
“Which people may be concerned about but it is going to be a lifeline to drive clean energy which is going to lower consumer costs and we’re going to do this in a way that’s transparent and engaging and we’re very, very excited about it.”
She says the Department of Energy is coordinating a transmission deployment program – which will start by engaging communities…
