Purdue University’s Ag-Celerator program is investing $200,000 into two ag start-up companies of alumni.

Insignum AgTech and Verility Inc. both received $100,000 from the innovation fund to expand technology in the industry.

Insignum AgTech creates biotech plants that warn growers of an early-stage infection by turning purple.  The company is currently developing technology to be used in corn with plans to expand into additional crops.

Verility Inc. is a global animal health platform that provides fertility analysis to help producers improve reproductive performance.
