The USDA says China was the top destination for several key U.S. commodities during the week ending January 20th, 2022. Overall, the pace of inspections for those commodities remains behind the previous marketing year. The 2021/22 marketing year started June 1st, 2021 for wheat and September 1st, 2021 for corn, sorghum, and soybeans. The USDA’s next set of supply and demand estimates is out February 9th.
Wheat came out at 400,973 tons, up 16,682 from the week ending January 13th, but down 170,704 from the week ending January 21st, 2021.
