Minnesota has seen more seasonal conditions to start the year.

The USDA says that after a generally warm, dry December, January has brought colder temperatures, and while there are some reports of livestock stress, overall, most herds are doing well.

Snowfall has been average with snow cover called near normal for most of Minnesota.

The USDA’s weekly crop progress and condition reports resume in April.
