Kansas Farm Bureau President Rich Felts says there are still a lot of uncertainties surrounding carbon markets.
“There are so many unknowns about the carbon market, carbon production (and) carbon sequestration.”
He tells Brownfield understanding how to capture carbon is an obstacle in his state because of diverse crop and livestock production and weather challenges. “We look at cost of variants across our state. A state of Kansas where we go from 40 inches of rain on one side to 14 on the other.
