It’s been a quiet start for cash cattle trade on the day after Southern business at mostly $140 yesterday, about $4 higher than last week’s weighted averages. Northern dressed trade has ranged from $220 to $224, mostly at $222, $4 higher than last week’s weighted average in Nebraska. Scattered trade is expected this afternoon to close the week. Asking prices for cattle left on showlists are around $140 live in the South and $222 dressed in the North.
