Most of the country should escape the week without significant storminess, following the previous week’s active weather regime. For the remainder of Tuesday, however, pockets of wintry precipitation—including snow and freezing rain—will affect northern New England, while rain showers will spread across Florida’s peninsula. By mid-week, snow showers will develop in several areas, including the Rockies and the Great Lakes region. In the latter region, additional snow late in the week may become briefly heavy and driven by gusty winds.
