The Michigan Department of Agriculture reports a dairy herd in northern lower Michigan has tested positive for bovine tuberculosis.
The herd was confirmed the last week of January in Oscoda County, in Michigan’s Modified Accredited Zone. The entire herd will be tested along with surveillance movement and positive animals removed.
This is the 82nd cattle herd to report the disease in the state and first reported case since March of last year.
