There’s a light direct cash cattle trade underway with a handful of live deals reported at $140 in the North.  That’s generally steady with last week’s business.  There are some bids that have surfaced in other areas around $138 to $139 live and $222 dressed. Asking prices are at $142 to $143 live in the South and $224 to $225 dressed in the North.  Today’s Fed Cattle Exchange was a non-starter with an offering of 1,996 head of which 35 actually sold at $139.
