Direct cash cattle trade is off to an active start.  There are some dressed deals in the North that have been reported at $224 and $226, which is $2 to $4 higher than last week’s weighted averages.  Some of those are marked for delayed delivery.   Live deals have been reported at $140 and $141 in the North.  Bids in the South are at $140 live.  Asking prices for cattle left on showlists are around $142 plus live in the South and $224 plus dressed in the North.
