The bipartisan Congressional Biofuels Caucus is urging the Biden administration to protect and strengthen the Renewable Fuel Standard.
Minnesota Democrat Angie Craig is a co-chair and says members of her party who represent rural communities “are paying incredibly close attention” as EPA works to finalize RFS rulemaking.
“And have very strong feelings about the actions (the EPA) will or will not take to support the communities that we represent.”
The Caucus is encouraging EPA to maintain blending requirements for 2022, deny all pending Small Refinery Exemptions, and reconsider proposed retroactive cuts to 2020 and 2021 Renewable Volume Obligations.
