Nebraska is adding two new soybean crush facilities to help grow demand for soybeans.
Norfolk Crush says it’s building a state-of-the-art $375 million plant in Madison County near the northeast town of Norfolk.
The company expects to crush nearly 40 million bushels of soybeans per year and will open in 2024.
The company says they plan to produce 847,000 tons of soybean meal per year for livestock feed markets, 450 million pounds of crude soybean oil per year and 77,000 tons of pelleted soybean hulls per year for livestock feed.
