A pair of low-pressure systems will maintain unsettled U.S. weather conditions for much of the week, while cold air will gradually overtake much of the country. The initial storm system, currently centered over the Midwest, will cross northern New England by mid-week. The second storm, located over the Intermountain West early Tuesday, should follow a more southerly path across the central and southern Plains, reaching the Tennessee Valley by Thursday night and southern New England late Friday.
