Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of below-normal temperatures from the Pacific Coast to the Plains and upper Midwest, while warmer-than-normal weather will prevail along and east of a line from the western Gulf Coast region to Lake Huron.
Meanwhile, near- or above-normal precipitation across most of the country should contrast with drier-than-normal conditions along and near the Pacific Coast.
