Direct cash cattle trade activity is off to a quiet start for the week. Buyers and sellers are busy taking inventory. Bids and asking prices will likely be slow to surface with the bulk of the week’s business coming in sometime midweek or later. Especially with the next Cattle on Feed report coming out on Friday. Last week’s business was at mostly $138 live, fully steady with the previous week’s weighted averages. Northern dressed deals were mostly $221 to $222, $1 to $2 higher than the prior week’s weighted average basis in Nebraska.
