A small dairy says it has plans to expand the operation to connect consumers to its products to showcase the role agriculture plays in food production.
Melisa Konecky with Beauty View Farms in Eastern Nebraska near Wahoo says her family wants to start an agritourism business. “We’re working on potentially a charcuterie class here on the farm with the goal that we bring the people out to charcuterie, but then we do an hour of ag education where we talk about where does the milk from the cheese actually come from?”
She tells Brownfield the dairy is small enough to manage another business, and that could provide additional revenue.
