Dr. Robb Fraley has joined the board of directors for Harpe Bioherbicide Solutions, a pre-commercial stage ag tech company focused on providing natural and sustainable herbicide solutions.
Fraley, the former chief technology officer for Monsanto, will help guide the company as it further develops and strengthens its intellectual property portfolio. The company is also expanding into the early development phases of herbicide-tolerant row crop systems. Harpe says the proprietary series of plant-based herbicidal active compounds will offer growers additional tools to help produce abundant, healthy crops.
Fraley says the introduction of new, more sustainable herbicide alternatives is needed and will further enable farmers to produce high-quality food without negatively impacting soils, waterways, and their neighboring environments.
