The USDA reports improvements to Tennessee’s winter wheat crop and pasture lands in the month of March.

Winter wheat is rated 75% good to excellent, up from 64% in February with reports of little disease.

Pasture and rangelands are rated 42% good to excellent, up from 36% in February. The state’s hay crop is rated 77% adequate to surplus, considered sufficient for the winter season with reports of supplies lasting longer than expected despite impacts to pastures from wet weather.
