Cattle futures closed lower with profit taking after Tuesday’s gains. Live cattle are anxious to get trading signals from the cash market. Feeder cattle are lower on the higher move for corn futures.
Light cash cattle trade took place in the South Wednesday at $138, steady with last week’s deals. Northern deals were few and far between. Asking prices for cattle left on showlists are around $138 to $140 live in the South and $225 dressed in North.
