Spotty cold and wet conditions in parts of the state are causing planting delays for some Tennessee farmers. Wheat conditions across much of the state are mostly good with 70% of the crop rated good to excellent and 57% jointed with 1% headed.
Four percent of the corn crop has been planted behind both last year and the 5-year average.
Twenty-eight percent of the apple crop is in full bloom. Sixty-six percent of strawberries are rated good to excellent.
