ADM plans to invest $300 million to expand production and open a Protein Innovation Center at their Decatur, Illinois location.
ADM President of Global Foods Leticia Goncalves says the expansion will allow the company to meet growing global demand for alternative proteins by significantly increasing their soy protein concentrate capacity and nearly doubling extrusion capacity at the site.
The new Protein Innovation Center will include test kitchens and pilot-scale production capabilities to help create diversified ingredients, more efficient processing, and nutrition solutions.
