A complex storm system will continue to affect portions of the northern and eastern U.S. through Tuesday. Impacts will include snow spreading from the Great Lakes region into the interior Northeast and heavy rain along the middle and northern Atlantic Coast. In the storm’s wake, frost and near-freezing temperatures may occur on Tuesday as far south as the Ozark Plateau and portions of the Tennessee Valley. Farther west, a storm arriving in the Pacific Northwest will race eastward near the U.S.-Canadian border, trailed by a stronger, slower-moving system.
