A cold front associated with the weaker of two storms will cross the eastern U.S. during Thursday, reaching the Atlantic Seaboard early Friday. The second storm system will traverse the West before intensifying across the central and northern Plains on Friday and Saturday. Multiple weather hazards associated with that storm may include wind-driven snow across portions of the northern Plains; high winds, blowing dust, and a significantly elevated wildfire threat from the Southwest to the central and southern Plains; and a multi-day severe weather outbreak affecting portions of the Plains, Midwest, and mid-South.
