Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of near- or below-normal temperatures and precipitation across much of the country.  Warmer-than-normal weather will be confined to an area stretching from the Southwest to the central and southern Plains.

Meanwhile, wetter-than-normal conditions should be limited to the nation’s northern tier, from the Pacific Northwest into the upper Midwest.
