Direct cash cattle trade is quiet following active trade earlier in the week.  The bulk of the week’s business has likely wrapped up, but a few cleanup deals could trickle in before the end of the day.  Asking prices for what’s left on showlists are at $143 live in the South and $236 dressed in the North.  Cattle on Feed numbers come out this afternoon.  For the week, live deals in the South were at $139 to $141, mostly $140, $1 higher than the previous week’s business.
