At the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, live and feeder cattle closed lower on fund and technical selling, with pressure from the lower boxed beef at midday. June live cattle closed $1.25 lower at $132.65 and August live cattle closed $1.07 lower at $135.27. May feeder cattle closed $1.60 lower at $156.35 and August feeder cattle closed $2.12 lower at $168.27.
It was a very quiet end to the week for direct cash cattle trade activity.
