The President of the National Corn Growers Association says it’s been a slow start to corn planting across most of the US.

Chris Edgington tells Brownfield on his farm in northern Iowa, “We have not turned a wheel. We haven’t put any corn in the ground, we haven’t put any beans in the ground. It has been cold and damp.”

But, he says North Dakota corn farmers could be facing the biggest weather challenges with two recent blizzards and forecasted rain, while farmers in Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas could really use the moisture.
