It’s a quiet Friday for direct cash cattle trade activity.  Business for the week has likely wrapped up.  However, a little cleanup trade could take place before the end of the day.  Asking prices for what’s left on showlists are around $142 live in the South and $234 dressed in the North.  Deals this week have been marked at $232 dressed in the North, steady with last week’s weighted average basis in Nebraska.  Southern live deals have been at mostly $140, with a few at $141, fully steady with last week’s business.
