Corn and soybean planting progress more than doubled in Missouri last week with more than five days suitable for fieldwork.
USDA says 65 percent of the state’s corn crop is planted, less than 20 percent behind last year and the five – year average. Nearly a third of the crop has emerged, 27 percent behind last year.
Nineteen percent of Missouri’s soybean crop is planted, 15 percent behind last year.
Missouri cotton planting is nearly half done and remains around pace with the average at 47 percent.
